Mendeecees is going viral and prompting social media reactions after sharing a revelation about his union with Yandy Smith.
According to MadameNoire, Mendeecees made the revelation during a recent episode of ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.’
In a promo clip recently posted and circulating on X, formerly known as Twitter, he and Smith are seen discussing their relationship via FaceTime.
While speaking, Smith notes that Mendeecees believes she is “trying to be too independent.” Then, she goes on to compare their relationship to that of fellow ‘Love & Hip Hop’ castmates Rasheeda and Kirk Frost, who came to a “dark place” in their union.
“And I just don’t want that for us,” Smith tells Mendeecees.
In response, Mendeecees tells Smith they “are in a dark place.”
“It’s been going on for a while now,” he adds. “if this is gon’ be, then you gotta take this serious. If not, then you gotta let it go.”
At that point, the clip then cuts to a confessional-style interview with Mendeecees. A producer asks him if he feels he and Yandy are already at the point where they may let things go.
He responds, “Yeah.” Then, the producer poses a question.
“Is the commitment keeping you more than the love right now?” they asked.
In response, Mendeecees shares a strong statement.
“Absolutely, 1,000 percent,” he says. “This s**t is supposed to be forever, but it don’t have to be forever.”
At that point, the clip returns to Mendeecee and Smith’s conversation, and the mother of three reveals that life without her husband “is not an option.” Additionally, Smith reveals that she’s “devastated” by her husband’s outlook.

Social media users share mixed reactions to Mendeecees and Smith’s conversation on X.
Although Smith and Mendeecee’s marital woes recently aired on television, it remains unclear when the latest ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ season was filmed. As The Shade Room previously reported, the couple appeared to be in good spirits earlier this year.
In February, the pair went viral after Smith shared a humorous story playfully recalling how she and her husband met.
Smith’s recollection was so outrageous that it even led Mendeecees to playfully dismiss himself from her storytime.
