Oop! Megan Thee Stallion popped out singing Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘Not Like Us’ while performing in Los Angeles, California.
On Friday, June 21, the rapper’s ‘Hot Girl Summer’ tour made a stop at the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles, California.
According to Rap-Up, footage subsequently surfaced from Meg’s tour stop, which showed her dancing and singing the chorus of Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us.’
Meg hitting her one-two step prompted the crowd to cheer in support. Before returning to her regularly programmed setlist, the rapper even hit the crowd with a quick twerk to cap off the moment.
Check out the footage below.
Social media users reacted to Meg’s quick one-two in The Shade Room’s comment section. Many couldn’t help but connect Meg’s apparent allyship with Lamar against Drake. To note, Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ was birthed as a diss toward Drake. Additionally, Meg seemingly blasted Drake in November 2022 after he seemingly showed support for Tory Lanez. Lanez is a fellow rapper who was convicted of shooting Meg in December 2022 following an incident in 2020.
Instagram user @cashmase wrote, “And the Grammy Award for Song Of The Year goes to…. KENDRICK LAMAR ‘NOT LIKE US’ 🤝 #GameOver”
While Instagram user @malonsalon added, “Absolutely 🔥🔥🔥 cuz Drake kept coming for her 😂”
As The Shade Room previously reported, Lanez was found guilty of “discharging a firearm with gross negligence, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle” in December 2022.
In August 2023, Lanez was sentenced to ten years in prison, per The Shade Room.
In February 2024, Drake took to his Instagram Story to show support for Lanez, advocating for his freedom, per The Shade Room.
To note, in November 2022, Drake appeared to accuse Meg of lying about being shot by Lanez on his song, ‘Circo Loco,’ per The Shade Room.
“this b***h lie ’bout getting shots, but she still a stallion,” he reportedly rapped on the song.
The track seemingly prompted Meg to speak out about “conspiracy theories.”
Then, earlier this year, Meg seemed to double down on her distaste for Drake after she released her single ‘HISS.’ On the song, Meg rapped about fellow male emcees “throwing dirt” and “cosplaying,” per Rap-Up.
“They be throwin’ that dirt, don’t s**t stick/ All these lil’ rap n**gas so fraud, Xanax be they hardest bars/ These n**gas hate on BBLs and be walkin’ ’round with the same scars/ Real curvy, no etchin’, n**gas fight to get in my section,” Meg reportedly rapped before later spitting. “Cosplay gangsters, fake-a** accents/ Posted in another n***a hood like a bad b***h…”
At this time, Drake has yet to publicly react to the new viral video of Meg.
