It has been a long year for Megan Thee Stallion but the latter end of it has definitely brought her more joy, more bags and more opportunities! She recently revealed not only that she might perform at the upcoming Grammy Awards, but she may be doing so beside yet another Houston Hottie.
While speaking with the Los Angeles Times, Meg revealed that she is in talks to possibly perform her “Savage” Remix alongside Beyoncé!
“At the Grammys ceremony–for which she says she hasn’t yet settled on a piece of ‘arm candy’ to be her date–Megan says she’s in talks to perform “Savage with Beyoncé, who will compete against herself for record of the year with her song “Black Parade,” the article read.
This year is quite exciting for Megan, as it is the first year that she’s being nominated at the awards. She is currently up for “Record of the Year,” “Best New Artist,” “Best Rap Performance” and “Best Rap Song.” “Savage is nominated in three of those categories.
Not only is Beyoncé possibly set to hit the stage with Meg, but she is also the most nominated artist at the 2021 Grammy Awards, with nine nominations. She is also reportedly the most nominated woman in Grammy history. Blue Ivy has also broken a record for being the youngest Grammy nominee in history for “Best Music Video” for “Brown Skin Girl.”
Meg and Bey’s collab was one of the hottest of the spring, and one of the most beneficial. All of the proceeds from the song went toward providing COVID-19 relief in Houston. The song peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in May.
