The Houston IT girls Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion popped out in their hometown over the weekend. And folks on social media reacted with as much hype as the local Renaissance Tour crowd!
The public reunion comes three years after they released a remix to Meg’s Grammy-winning hit “Savage.” Megan performed the track when she took the stage at NRG Stadium on Sept. 23.

And Queen Bey was in full support of the Houston Hottie as she walked onto the stage and introduced herself. After Meg said, “I’m that b***h, been that b****h, still that b***h, will forever be that b***h,” Beyoncé egged her on, saying, “Yes, Megan.”
Meanwhile, the audience cheered and recited the rap’s lyrics. Still, in her supportive bag, Bey asked her audience to make some noise to show “how proud” they are of Megan.
“Don’t she make you proud? She make me proud. I love you girl,” Bey belted. Megan shouted back, “I love you Beyoncé.”
“We outchea,” Bey called back as they danced. Beyoncé was standing on a short platform as Megan Thee Stallion performed below.

The whole moment lasted only about a minute, but it caused waves on social media. Beyoncé’s apparent solidarity with her former collaborator comes just days after Drake seemingly took a shot at the Houston Hottie in her own hometown.

A viral video of the “Spin Bout You” rapper shows him giving his friend Megan a shoutout.
“I gotta give a shoutout to somebody who has been with me since the beginning of my career. Her name is Megan,” Drake said. “She been with me since day one, built this sh*t with m, real H-town legend, shoutout to Meg one time forreal. Not that Meg, this Meg.”
As the video made its rounds, fans assumed Drake was throwing shade at Thee Stallion, and following her guest performance on Saturday, some took it as a gag toward the Toronto artist. All of which was very much a discussion on X (formerly Twitter).
Drake said “Not THAT Megan” to 19,000 last week. Then Beyoncé says “Don’t she make y’all proud? She make me proud” to 70,000 tonight. https://t.co/gtTPTd14OU

This is the second time in less than a year that fans have speculated about Drake throwing shots at Megan. In November, the Houston Hottie responded to Drake’s seemingly accusing her of lying about being shot by Tory Lanez — who was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison in that case.
In the track “Circo Loco” featuring 21 Savage, Drake raps, “This b***h lie ’bout getting shot but she still a stallion.” At the time, Meg clapped back on then-Twitter without name-dropping the rapper.
She wrote, in part, “I know I’m very popular but y’all gotta stop attaching weak a** conspiracy theories in bars to my name lol n****s nor h*es EVER address me or @ me WITH a fact or receipts. I AM CLOUT B***H keep sucking my p***y.”

Here’s What Fans Had To Say About Beyoncé & Megan Thee Stallion’s Performance
Drake has not responded to presumed shade, instead choosing to hone in on Charlamagne critiquing his fashion choices.
Meanwhile, fans in X are still drooling over Saturday’s brief performance and sisterhood moment. Fans first caught wind of Megan’s possible pop-out two weeks ago when Billboard reported that she had dropped out of performing at the 2023 Global Citizen Festival due to a scheduling conflict. Megan was set to headline, along with Lauryn Hill and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The festival X’s page confirmed her removal from the line-up on Sept. 10 in a post.
Hi there — due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Megan Thee Stallion will no longer be available to perform at the 2023 Global Citizen Festival.
