Sports Illustrated revealed their new covers on Monday, and Megan Thee Stallion is one of the cover girls that is making history while appearing on the cover.
Megan has officially become the first female rapper to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimwuit. She shared her cover on social media and said, “REAL SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SWIMSUIT EDITION COVER MODEL SH*T!!! 😛🔥Thee first female rapper on the cover of @si_swimsuit 😭😭 I want to thank all the strong women in my life who inspired me to love my body and live my best hot girl life. It means the world to me to be on this cover DREAM COME TRUE!”
Rocking her own swimsuit line in collaboration with Fashion Nova, Megan spoke about always wanting to be on the cover of the magazine since she was a young girl. She said, “I’ve wanted to do it all my life. I was the little girl looking at the cover of Sports Illustrated saying, ‘One day this is going to be me.’ And I manifested it.”
While shooting for the Magazine in Miami, FL she was joined by Tyra Banks, who made history when she became the first black woman to appear on the cover for Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue in 1996.
Naomi Osaka and Leyna Bloom are the other two ladies to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit for August.
