Meek Mill is speaking out after fellow rapper and collaborator Vory was recently accused of domestic abuse.
According to XXL, Vory’s girlfriend, Janae Daugherty, took to social media on Wednesday, February 14. Daughterty reportedly shared footage of a heated interaction with the rapper.
Amid reportedly sharing the video, Daugherty took to her Instagram Story to share a few words.
“Vory you are a disgusting person,” she reportedly wrote, per XXL. “You want to paint me out to be this wh**e/bad person when it’s you!”
Later that day, Meek retweeted a clip of the leaked footage on X, formerly known as Twitter. In the initial footage, Vory can be seen sitting across from his girlfriend. He can be heard telling her to disconnect her phone from the house’s security camera.
Then, he begins to threaten her.
“Janae, I will literally get you killed,” he said. “For real, in real life.”
The clip then cuts to a moment where viewers hear Daugherty asking Vory to “Stop.” In turn, the rapper yells, “No, you don’t run this, I do!” Then proceeds to back Daughtery into a corner.
After retweeting the clip, Meek Mill added a few words, seemingly making it clear where his relationship with Vory now stands.
“This guy is not a dream chaser! He has a mental problem! We cutting ties we don’t care how ya music sound,…. He been ducking my calls for months telling people I’m threatening him… stopped alot of people dude ‘he is not dreamchaser!” the rapper wrote.
In addition, Meek Mill also shared a message about “disconnecting” from people.
“I’m disconnected from all these wild a*s people while it’s lit out here! Life kinda serious hold your folks tight!” he added.
Furthermore, social media users weighed in on the leaked footage of Vory and Meek Mill’s response on X.
According to XXL, Vory took to his Instagram Story following the surfaced footage. He reportedly shared a message accusing Daugherty of being sexually promiscuous.
“Admitted to my mom of sleeping with 3 men in the same month my son was conceived and thats why i always had doubt he was mines,” the rapper reportedly wrote, per XXL. “It’s been lies from the jump & to make things worse more than half of these men she slept with unprotected which makes it even more nastier. But she gets on social media s**t like she’s so holy and close to God and such a great person. I’ve been allowing my name to get tornished for far too long.”
The outlet reports that Vory ultimately deleted the message. However, he returned to the platform to post a screenshot of his recently released song, ‘Why Lie.’
In the caption of his Instagram post, the rapper also shared a few words.
“Out now link in bio. Despite all the negative s**t learn to see the light in shit. God is working harder than the devil ❤️” he wrote.
