Roommates, hip hop fans are well aware of the complicated history between rappers Meek Mill and Wale. Well, clearly time heals all wounds because the two recently linked up and it appears that they have hashed things out and are in a much better place these days.
Despite being Maybach Music Group labelmates, Meek Mill and Wale have very publicly dragged each other and many fans thought that they would never patch things up and be friends again—but it looks like things have changed.
Meek Mill recently posted a photo on social media of himself with Wale, complete with both wearing masks, and captioned it acknowledging their rocky past with each other. He wrote, “Me and @wale argued a thousand times & made millions together #MMGVIBES.”
You may recall that the beef between Meek and Wale initially began back in 2014, when Meek accused Wale of hating on him because he didn’t make a post on social media to support his album. Just when it seemed that things had calmed down, things reignited in 2015 due to Meek Mill taking issue with Wale’s stance on his highly-publicized beef with Drake.
Things got so intense, that their label head Rick Ross spoke out about the two and hoped that they would one day come together:
“You know, those brothers forever. That’s my family. As you can see it’s already done came and went. It’s all about making dope music. And like I said, I feel like me being in a position I am. Me being a boss. Me being as experienced as I am, I feel like them going through that, or whatever you call it, in 10 years when they’re executives they’re gonna be able to give that same game to youngstas. Like ‘Yo, I did that before, but this how we do it.’ I look at things different.”
It looks like Ricky Rozay was right.
