Meagan Good is setting the record straight on what happened between Jonathan Majors and Michael Ealy in THAT viral video. Folks online seemed to think Ealy was shading Jonathan by embracing Meagan closely. Now, she’s saying the viral video didn’t tell the whole story.
For context, the viral video starts with Michael Ealy hugging Good and slightly lifting her body off the ground. He greets other folks nearby but doesn’t speak to Majors.
Meanwhile, the actress says the real-life exchange between the men was pleasant and uplifting. “So we’re just gonna edit out the first part of the video where Jonathan and Michael exchange a big hug first and then speak life over each other “before” he gives me a big brother hug,” Good wrote in The Shade Room’s comment section.
“Lol smh super unfortunate how people don’t have anything better to do than project on others and intentionally perpetuate negative misguided commentary on life snippets they have no real context to. It’s sad. Sigh. But still, God bless yall,” Meagan Good added.
The video stirred a ton of reactions on social media about etiquette when greeting folks in a relationship. Majors and Ealy haven’t spoken out. The words shared above are the first we’re hearing from Meagan.
The innanet has been heavily invested in Meagan and Jonathan’s public romance, which first came to light during his assault trial. The actor was later convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment related to his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
Good, however, has stood by her man during this period of heavy criticism in his career. The pair have continued to appear on red carpets and speak openly about their relationship and love.
