If you’re a real foodie like some of us over at The Shade Room then you know the heartbreak that came after McDonald’s decided to drop Hi-C Orange from its menu almost four years ago. Since then, fans of the beverage have been going to great lengths to get the legendary drink back and it looks like all of their hard work has paid off!
The restaurant chain took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce that Hi-C Orange will officially return to McDonald’s menu’s. According to CNN, the beverage will start to reappear in select restaurants in the U.S. and will reportedly be available nationwide by June.
“To those who have passionately asked for us to bring it back over the years, we’re excited to say we ‘C’ you,” McDonald’s said in a statement. “Your tweets, DMs and petitions asking for its return gave our social media community manger a LOT of content to choose from for an important menu team meeting this morning and thanks to you, Hi-C Orange Lavaburst will return to McDonald’s menus this year.”
Hi-C Orange Lavaburst was replaced by Sprite Tropic Berry back in 2017 and since then, customers have “passionately asked for us to bring it back,” according to a statement from McDonald’s. Some fans of the drink even started a petition on Change.org to get the company on board.
McDonald’s also announced that it has created a special website, Mcdfinder.com, that customers can use to track which restaurants have Hi-C orange available based on ones location. The site will reportedly be updated weekly and uses a zip code to identify the nearest restaurant with the drink in its fountain.
Y’all better hurry up and sign up for that website because we’ll sure be in line to get our Hi-C Orange fix, Roomies!
