TSR We Global: Drake is one of the biggest artists in the world, and his music has touched fans around the globe! We recently reposted a video of the Masaka Kids absolutely killing Champagne Papi’s ‘Toosie Slide‘, and apparently their dance moves touched the hearts of people to donate money to their cause!
The Masaka Kids dance group is composed of orphan children from Uganda, who kill every single dance video they put up! The group’s Toosie Slide video quickly blew up, and even caught the attention of Drake, who reposted he video to his Instagram story.
Founder of the organization, Suuna Hassan, tells TMZ, the children wanted to do the challenge because they love the song, and hoped Drake would notice them! Since then, the Masaka Kids Africana account has reportedly gained more than 120,000 IG followers, and the organization has received hundred of dollars in donations.
If you’ve been keeping up with the tea, you would have seen the video blowing up on all social media platforms, including TikTok, Twitter and Instagram. Apparently, Drake was keeping up with the tea too, and he reached out to the group asking for permission to repost the video too!
Hassan says “he and the children cried tears of joy at the feature and spent the next day celebrating and doing what they do best…more dancing.” Hassan ads that many more people have inquired about how they can donate clothes and other items to their cause.
We hope the Masaka Kids’ videos are able to lead them to getting the help that they need and deserve!
