It’s looking very unlikely that #MaryJBlige’s estranged husband #KenduIsaacs will receive any spousal support from the singer, because she simply doesn’t have it.
MJB is nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and Song for her role in “Mudbound” this year and documents obtained by @Blast reveal that being a part of the film actually cost her more money than she made from it.
This has sunk her deeper into debt along with the $12 million that she accrued in with Isaacs during their marriage. In fact, this is why Mary is petitioning against paying Isaacs any spousal support, because she blames him for her financial downfall. The singer says that he treats her like a “bank” and he has made no effort to get a job.
Now, Mary is looking for more work and says that she makes most of her cash from touring. However, since she is a “legacy artist, there is no market for her to embark on a major world tour every year.” In an unfortunate twist, Mary doesn’t even own her own music catalogue and owes $25 million in advances.
The couple is set to appear in court next month!
