Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch has landed himself in trouble after authorities out in Las Vegas suspected that he was driving while under the influence.
According to TMZ, Marshawn was arrested early Tuesday after Las Vegas Metro Police Department pulled him over near the Las Vegas Strip on Fairfield Avenue and West Utah Avenue. Sources claim that he was driving into curbs on the side of the road before he was approached by police.
He was taken into custody after it was believed that he was under the influence. He reportedly didn’t submit to a breathalyzer, but he did have his blood drawn.
Shortly after the news about his arrest, photos of the 2020 Shelby GT500 Marshawn had reportedly driven prior to his arrest surfaced. The images obtained by TMZ showed that the vehicle had a missing tire, which left the rim completely exposed to the pavement as well as a flat tire. Witnesses say they saw the former NFL star parked at the scene around 5:45 am, which was two hours before the police arrived. While at the scene, he reportedly got out of the car to sit on the curb while leaving the driver’s door open.
Aside from facing a DUI, he is also facing charges for failure/refusing to surrender proof of security, unregistered vehicle and failure to drive in a travel lane.
