The world has been chatting about Marques Houston and his soon -to-be-wife, and the tea seemed to be piping hot! The innanet claims to have receipts about Marques and his soon-to-be wife dating while she was underaged, and Marques says it was all a lie.
According to some folks on Twitter, Marques and his fianceé Miya met when she was 15, and she was listed as art director for various films he was in. The rumors go on to allege that Miya is also Chris Stokes’ daughter.
Well, Marques came to clarify a few things in a very lengthy Instagram post, in which he explains that he and Miya did not start dating until she was an adult, and she is certainly not Chris Stokes’ daughter. He says Miya is like a daughter to Chris because they are all Jehovah’s Witness, and Miya became best friends with Chris’ daughter, Chrissy.
“Miya and I didn’t start dating until she was an adult. We fell in love and got engaged in March of 2019,” Marques said. “My dad Michael loves her, and the people I am closest to love her as well. Most importantly we have Jehovah’s blessing.”
He ends his statement asking everyone to stay safe during the pandemic.
