Marlon Wayans has been served papers by Brittany Moreland, the mother of a one-year-old child Wayans is accused of fathering.
According to documents obtained by RadarOnline, the petition was filed to establish the paternity of one-year-old Axl July Ivory Wayans.
Moreland, 34, is seeking primary and legal custody of the child. Also, the docs filed on March 18 state Wayans, 51, should be awarded visitation.
Additionally, she would like her legal fees covered and “reasonable expenses of pregnancy and birth” reimbursed by the ‘Little Man’ actor.
Furthermore, Moreland requests financial support for the child’s needs. Radar reports that she submitted an income and expense declaration stating Marlon makes an estimated monthly salary of $200,000. She contends her estimated monthly expenses are a total of $21,000.
In addition, Moreland claims she spends $5,000 monthly on rent and $9,000 on food, daycare, and other expenses. The Blast reports she also spends $1,500 monthly on her daughter’s clothing and program uniforms. On top of that, she is asking the court to award her $2,000 for expenses she labeled as “child care” so she can go to work.
If Wayan’s paternity is established, this will be the comedian’s third child. He currently shares two sons with his ex-girlfriend, Anglea Zachary.
He recently spoke out about one of his children’s decisions to transition from Amai to Kai, admitting it took time for him to accept his new son fully. Initially, Wayans’ said he was in “complete denial.” The stand-up comic is currently in a place of “complete unconditional love and acceptance,” per RadarOnline.
He stated, “I have to respect their wishes.”
The “White Chicks” actor admitted his treatment will affect how his kids show up in the world.
“If they can’t get that in the household with their father and their mother, how the f— do I send them out into the world with that kind of confidence? I’m just so proud of them being them,” he declared.
