We all love expensive clothes but what’s your price limit? Marilyn Monroe’s dress she wore to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to President John F. Kennedy was sold for $4.8 million dollars!
According to TIME, the dress was sold at an auction in Los Angeles to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum chain. The one of a kind Jean Louis dress has over 2,500 “hand stitched crystals on a flesh colored bodice.”
Edward Meyer, vice-president of Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, is happy about their purchase.
“We believe this is the most iconic piece of pop culture that there is.”
