Empire comes back in September and it just gets better. Every season they bring in a guest star that hightens the storylines. We’ve seen Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, V. Bozeman, Estelle, and many more.
Empire director Lee Daniels is good friends with Mariah Carey so it’s only right that she gets a cameo on the show too right? . The announcement was made Monday in Beverly Hills, CA. at the Television Associates press tour.
Carey will play Kitty, who is a superstar of course, and she comes to #Empire to collaborate with Jama lLyon. The two-some will encounter a few obstacles and ultimately Kitty will help Jamal overcome adversity and personal difficulties through music.
There will be other guest stars this season too, Taye Diggs, French Montana, and Birdman to name a few.
According to Variety, Mariah Carey’s appearance on the show has been long rumored. Last season her name came up a lot but no one discussed in detail when she would make an appearance.
