Just as it seems like the drama with Tristan Thompson and one of the mothers of his sons was over, he’s back in the headlines. Maralee Nichols, the mother of Tristan’s youngest child, is calling him out over broken promises. Maralee’s representative, Harvey Englander, shared a statement to Page Six explaining that Tristan hasn’t kept his word about meeting his baby boy or supporting the child financially.
“Despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support his son,” said the statement. Harvey added, “He has not made any attempt to meet their son, nor has he provided any financial assistance.” The statement comes after rumors alleged Tristan could possibly be paying up to $40,000 in child support to the mothers of his children, Maralee, Khloé Kardashian, and Jordan Craig.
If you recall, rumors started circulating last month that Tristan would be forking over a lot of money. According to The Sun, the baller could potentially be paying a cumulative $120,000 in monthly child support.
While it hasn’t been confirmed, it didn’t stop people from talking about it. Over 10,000 Roommates commented on the news bringing up Tristan’s words, saying he wouldn’t be a part of the child’s life.
As we previously reported in December, alleged texts from Tristan surfaced stating, “You know how I feel. My feelings haven’t changed at all. Won’t be involved at all. Btw if you think having this baby is gonna make you some money. It’s completely wrong. You are aware that I’m retiring after this season.”
It continued, “So in terms of support, it will be whatever is required monthly for someone who’s unemployed. It’s Texas, so it will be only a couple hundred dollars. So you better off taking this 75k I’m offering cause you won’t get nothing near that with having a kid with a father who’s unemployed.”
The message ended by saying, “All you will have is a baby with a father who has zero involvement with the child and a few hundred dollars of child support a month.” Roommates, what are your thoughts on this situation?
