They got him. The 24-year-old Arizona man who threatened to shoot up Harvard University’s first Black Commencement last year to end their “pro-black agenda” is now in custody.
CNN reports Nicholas Zuckerman was indicted on two counts related to the interstate threats. His arrest comes about a year after a concerned citizen reported the threats he made on Harvard’s Instagram page to police, launching a federal case.
Zuckerman is accused of posting a comment under a photo saying, “If the blacks only ceremony happens, then I encourage violence and death at it. I’m thinking two automatics with extendo clips. Just so no n***** gets away.” He also posted #bombharvard under the school’s other photos.
Last year was the first time Harvard’s graduate school held a ceremony for its black student body to honor the achievements of black students. It was held two days before the university’s commencement.
Authorities say Zuckerman will appear in federal court in Boston at a later date.
