A couple has gone viral after the boyfriend, Dale Leeks, jokingly tried to sell his girlfriend, Kelly Greaves, on #eBay—and then ended up with strangers in an eBay bidding war for her.
Kelly apparently pranked him first so he thought this was the best way to get her back. On his listing, he desciribed Kelly as a “miniature collectible”, something like a used car with a “constant whining noise”. Adding a disclaimer that said “no serious damage but you can see she’s been used.”
Y’all, the bid for Kelly went up to a whole $119,000!!! With people from Australia, Europe, and the US interested in the “product”—some weirdo’s even asking if they could “test drive” first, like whet?!
#Ebay apparently took the listing down because “they told me I couldn’t sell a human being,” Dale said. When Kelly found out about the listing, they apparently had a good laugh about it all and neither of them were expecting the response from it.
“I thought, ‘Oh no, what have I done?’,” he said.
When Kelly asked him if he really would’ve sold her he first said no, then proceeded to say ““But when it was going up to ($170,000) in a day, I said, ‘I’m not going to lie, I would have been quite sad to see you go, but it wouldn’t have been so sad ‘cause I would have been crying in my Ferrari or my Lamborghini,” CTV News reports.
The two were apparently friends for a good ten years before dating for a year! That explains a lot, ha ha!
