New York commuters were greeted with an unusual yet scary sight Wednesday morning. A man identified as 57-year-old John Rynne was found hanging, dead from an exit sign.
Police described it as a “horrible sight” and suggested that he was “clever and creative in the way he hanged himself,” hinting at a suicide.
The New York Post specified that he was dangling at exit 57 on the east side of the Cross Island Parkway need Northern Blvd. in Bayside around 6:50 AM.
A Few passengers took to Twitter to share what they had saw.
“Just saw a body hanging going east on the Cross Island Parkway#traffic#WTF,” said one user (Trini3).
Another user, Young OG, Tweeted, “Dude was just pale….scary sight.”

Not something you would want you or your children seeing driving down the highway! May he rest in peace.
