Mac Miller’s Family Announced They Will Be Releasing His Album Titled “Circles”

Mac Miller has been remembered by his fans through their art, and especially his music. Now, they will have an opportunity to relish in his talent even more one year after his passing from an overdose.

In an Instagram post, Mac’s family has announced they will be releasing his next album, which he has been working on prior to his untimely death. A message from the family sends words of hope to fans, who will be able to hear the album on January 17–just two days before Mac’s 28th birthday.

“Circles” is Mac’s latest project, which was meant to be released as a “companion album” to his project titled “Swimming”. With the help of producer Jon Brian, the project has been brought to life in Mac’s absence.

“After his passing, Jon dedicated himself to finishing Circles based on his time and conversations with Malcom.” the message reads. “We are eternally grateful to Jon and to those who gave their best to the difficult and emotional task of putting out this body of work.”

Although the road to completing “Circles” has not been easy, the family says their decision to release it is solely based on what Mac would’ve wanted if he was still with us.

“We simply know that it was important to Malcom for the world to hear it. One of the most difficult decisions in the process is how best to let people know about it–how to communicate meaningfully while keeping sacred what should be kept sacred.”

As we previously reported, Mac Miller passed away from an apparent drug overdose. Almost one year after his passing, authorities arrested the man who sold Mac the pills, which were apparently laced with fentanyl.

Hopefully, Mac’s family can find some sort of peace now that his final project will be heard by his fans. They end their message saying:

“We are kept to imagine where Malcolm was going and to appreciate where he was. We hope you take the time to listen.”
