Back in January Lupe Fiasco said he was releasing three more albums and then we plans to bid his music career farewell; now, almost a year later he backs out on that promise and confirms an abrupt retirement.
The rapper took to Twitter to let fans know that all of his future albums are cancelled.
“I get the hint God. Yo Lupe fans it’s been fun and I hope you’ve had fun. I’m officially not releasing anymore music. Albums cancelled,” he said.
We’re curious as to what happened between Monday, when he released his new song, “N.E.R.D,” and Tuesday when he reneged on his three promised albums.
Maybe he’s tired–according to one of the lines in the song: “I’ll retire when I’m tired.”
He teased fans last week with another new song titled “Killers,” but now it seems that dream was short lived if he follows through with his withdrawal from the game.
What are your thoughts, Roomies?
