Former #Cowboys WR #LuckyWhitehead has found a new home with the #Jets just days after being wrongfully accused in a larceny case. The NFL player finally opened up about the false accusation and told the Dallas Morning News that he was “blindsided” and added that “no one [in Cowboys management] had my back in the whole situation.” It really was crazy that the Cowboys fired him without even considering his word or an investigation which later proved that he was innocent.
The thing is, #Roommates, when God has greater things for you no one can take it away! Earlier this week, Lucky’s agent David Rich told reporters that there were four teams scouting his client and that he “wouldn’t be surprised if he was picked up” considering how the rosters were looking.
Rich also spoke to ESPN today about how excited Lucky was to head to practice with his new team. However, he still feels that the Cowboys just wanted to make an example out of Lucky. “They needed to make an example of somebody to get those boys’ heads on straight. It is calculated. But I get it. It’s business,” he said. “They needed to do what’s in the best interest of the Cowboys. I think they’re wrong, but I get it.”
Whitehead and Rich are currently making decisions on how to proceed with legal action.
