Keke Jabbar has passed away at age 42, according to her family. News of the Love & Marriage: Huntsville star’s death reached social media platforms on Tuesday (July 2).
She is survived by her husband of nearly 17 years, Ameen Jabbar. The couple tied the knot in December 2007, per Sportskeeda. They share three children: Ace, Aubree, and Amaree.
Keke Jabbar’s Family Speak Out About Her Death
Marcella Speaks, blogger and social media personality, shared the family’s statement during a YouTube livestream. The 42-year-old passed away “peacefully at home” surrounded by loved ones. However, at this time, her cause of death remains unknown.
“It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love. She was a mom, a sister, and a great friend full of life, love, and laughter. She will be sorely missed, and at this time, we are asking for respect and privacy in our moment of grief while we process this great loss,” said the statement signed by the Jabbar Family and Scott family.
Keke Jabbar’s cousin, LaTisha Moore Scott, also confirmed her death in a social media post on Tuesday.
“At this time, we are asking for RESPECT and PRIVACY in our moment of grief while we process this great loss! This is hard for our family,” LaTisha wrote. “This is hard for our family,” she added in the caption.

On May 22, Keke Jabbar shared a post celebrating her firstborn Amaree’s graduation from high school. She thanked her village for helping get her son to this point in life!
“My firstborn graduated from high school yesterday, and it was such an emotional experience!! I didn’t expect 18 years to go by this fast! We’re so proud of you Amaree. Go shine like the star you are!!! I have to thank everyone who helped us rear this boy!! We did an amazing job! I owe this to my grandparents, my parents, my family, my best friends, his coaches and everyone who has supported him throughout the years!! Thanks to everyone who came to support…,” Keke wrote.
The last post available on her Instagram page is dated May 26. It is a clip of Keke Jabbar enjoying a day in the sunshine with her loved ones at the pool for Memorial Day weekend. In the post, she revealed she was working on a swim wig line, specifically for Black girls.
