The company announced the news through an Instagram post on Tuesday. Notably, this confirmation came just a few hours after The Wall Street Journal initially broke the news by citing “people familiar with the matter.”
In Louis Vuitton’s post, the fashion powerhouse confirmed the speculation and praised Pharrell as “a visionary whose creative universes expand from music to art, and to fashion.” Additionally, the manner in which Pharrell has “establish[ed] himself as a cultural global icon over the past twenty years” was given a warm shoutout, too.

He also confidently proclaimed that the Virginia Beach-bred icon “will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter.”
