Here’s What The Deputy District Attorney Revealed About Blueface
According to XXL, Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Tatiana Chahoian shared an exclusive statement with the outlet in a report published Tuesday, July 16. DA Chahoian explained that although Blue has a court date scheduled for July 29, he may not be walking free that soon.
To note, TMZ previously reported that Blueface would initially be released from jail on July 2.
“Long story short — Blueface’s release date has not been determined as of yet,” DA Chahoian reportedly told the outlet. “He has a court date for sentencing on the probation violation on July 29, 2024, and on that date, the judge will determine how much time, if any, he will be serving.”
Here’s Why Blueface Is Behind Bars
As The Shade Room previously reported, Blueface turned himself in to authorities in Los Angeles on January 12. At the time, it was reported that the rapper violated his probation.

TMZ later reported that Blue violated “one or more of the terms of his probation” from a September 2021 assault case originating in Los Angeles. However, the outlet did not explicitly reveal what exactly Blueface did to violate the terms of his probation.
However, if that weren’t enough to leave the rapper’s freedom in question, additional legal concerns would soon come Blue’s way. On February 1, the Daily Mail reported that a judge in Las Vegas issued an arrest warrant for the rapper. The warrant was reportedly issued due to Blue also violating his probation in relation to a 2022 shooting case. The judge reportedly ordered that Blueface turn himself in to Las Vegas authorities upon his release from Los Angeles.

At the time, the rapper’s Las Vegas attorney, Kristina Wildeveld, reportedly confirmed to the outlet that he would surrender to Las Vegas authorities upon his release from Los Angeles.
The Rapper’s Family Remains Hopeful For His Return
Blueface’s probation violation in relation to his Las Vegas case could explain DA Chahoian’s recent statement on why he may not be released from jail on July 29. Despite this, Blueface’s family appears to remain hopeful for his return.
As The Shade Room reported, Blueface’s dad, Johnathan Porter, took to Instagram to share a video last week. In the clip, Porter urged fans to pray for him and the mother of his youngest son, Chrisean Rock.
“…Sitting over here hoping and praying that they release my son in the next 20 days for time served. So, for all you Blueface fans, please keep him in your prayers,” Porter said. “Also praying that Chrisean gets released the same day that he does. So that everybody can have a new start.”
As The Shade Room previously reported, Rock was arrested on June 10 after pulling up to a courthouse in Los Angeles to support Blueface. At the time, it was revealed that she was detained on a felony fugitive warrant. The warrant was issued in connection to a 2022 drug possession case in Oklahoma.
In the days that followed, The Shade Room exclusively learned from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department that Rock was being held with “NO BAIL” for a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from a case filed in the city. The LAPD did not share more details about the assault case. However, in February, James Wright Chanel filed assault charges against the rapper in California, per The Shade Room.
At the time, it was also revealed that after Rock served her time in the LA jail, she would be extradited to Oklahoma to face jurisdiction for her initial case and charges there.

As of Wednesday, July 17, Rock’s Los Angeles booking record appears to show that she remains behind bars with no listed release or extradition date. Meanwhile, Oklahoma court records show that her case there has not yet been assigned to a judge. Additionally, no attorneys are listed on the case file.
