Lori Loughlin Released From Prison After Serving Nearly Two Months

It looks like Lori Loughlin’s vacation behind bars has quickly come to an end after she has spent nearly two months in a California prison for her role in the college admissions scandal.

According to TMZ, the actress Lori is now out after she turned herself in on October 30th. She was originally scheduled to surrender to authorities on November 19th, however, she turned herself in nearly three weeks early. Now that she’s out, she’ll be on two years of supervised release and she has to perform 250 hours of community service.

Her husband, who is still behind bars, was sentenced to five months in prison. He surrendered to authorities back in November.

As previously reported, both Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli both pled gulilty for their role in the college admissions scandal back in May. Aside from serving time behind bars, and performing community service, Lori was ordered to pay a $150,000 fine, and Mossimo was ordered to pay  a $250,000 fine.

While they were both in prison, their daughter Olivia Jade joined Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris on “Red Table Talk” where she spoke out for the first time about her family’s involvement in the scandal.

During her interview, Olivia Jade said, “It’s been hard, for anybody no matter what the situation is you don’t want to see your parents go to prison but also I think it’s necessary for us to move on and move forward. What happened was wrong and I think every single person in my family can look at it and be like that was messed up, that was a big mistake but I think what’s so important to me is to learn from the mistake. Not to be shamed and punished and never given a second chance… I’m 21. I feel like I deserve a second chance to redeem myself to show I’ve grown.”
