Loni Love has been in the news a lot lately, due to the comments she’s made on The Real.
In an exclusive interview with @madamenoire, @therealdaytime talk show host addressed #AmandaSeales’ facial expressions, when speaking about her weight loss. She also addressed #CookieHull’s allegations that she was instrumental in #TamarBraxton’s firing from the show.
Loni stated that Amanda was simply caught off guard and didn’t know how to respond to her abruptly crying when she spoke about growing up in a “project environment,” and not knowing how to eat properly.
“But there was also another component about it, which was Amanda who didn’t understand because she’s new to the show. She didn’t understand. She personally called me and she was like, ‘Yoo…you were talking and the next minute you started crying.’ And it’s like, “Girl, that’s what we do on the show. It’s called “The Real.” It caught her off guard and that’s why you see the reaction that she had. She was like, ‘Do you want to do an IG?’ I said, ‘No, Amanda, this is a show. This is “The Real” and this is what we do.’ And like I said, she didn’t have time to come back and go, ‘Loni?’ We just had to get out. So, it is what it is.”
As it relates to Cookie Hull’s interview with Comedy Hype, she stated that she never referred to herself or Tamar as a “ghetto girl.” The 48 year-old does “believe in the power” of people being who they are. Loni also reiterated that she’s never been against any Black woman.
In the interview, the comedian also addressed the NDA she has with her boyfriend James Welsh. While she trusts him, people get mad and things change. It’s no different from having a prenup, according to her.
She also stated,
“If I would’ve had an NDA with some friends, you wouldn’t hear these lies that they’re telling you.”
Welp, that’s that!
Loni Love and “The Real” just celebrated their 1000th episode in February.
