Whew, chile! Just when you thought you’ve seen it all, there is always something to catch you by surprise. This time around, a local rapper from Brooklyn recently turned himself in after he was seen on video using a flamethrower while standing on top of a city bus.

According to CBS New York, Christopher Dupree, whose stage name is Rapper Dupree GOD turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday after he was accused of pulling the dangerous stunt in the Bed Stuy area of Brooklyn earlier this month. There is a video that shows him standing on top of the B26 bus while using a flamethrower.

Both Dupree and his attorney say that what he did was not illegal and that it was only for a music video. His attorney says that he is facing a reckless endangerment charge.

He said, “It was for the art, man. Art, creativity. Everything was a safe, controlled environment. It was for the art.”

His attorney Cary London added, “We are confident that after a review of everything that happened, his actions will be deemed appropriate and safe.”

The MTA released a statement about the incident and said, “Our incredible bus operator quickly moved riders to safety, and we’re pleased the police made an arrest after this outrageous stunt. The individual who perpetrated this lunacy should receive the maximum consequences the law allows.”
