Let’s start with a lil’ re-cap of which couples went from talking behind a wall to engaged. As we previously told y’all, this season’s pods only produced five couples.

That list included Amy and Johnny, Amber Desiree, aka AD and Clay, Chelsea and Jimmy, Kenneth and Brittany, and Laura and Jeramey. All of them made it to the Dominican Republic for their first baecation and face-to-face quality time.

Which ‘Love Is Blind’ S6 Engagements Quicky Fell Apart?

Despite a couple of emotional hurdles (we’re looking at you, Chelsea), all five couples headed back to Charlotte, North Carolina, still intact.

But shortly after landing and weeks before the wedding day, Kenneth broke it off with Brittany. Fans of the show began speculating the couple wouldn’t last when episode six showed them barely interacting during a boat ride.

That awks moment seemingly happened after AD challenged Kenneth about raising Black children with a Southern white woman. During his convo with AD, Kenneth seemed sure they could overcome the racial aspect of their relationship. He called Brit-Brit his “person.”

“I’m very much pro-Black and I don’t lose sight of what we have had to overcome, what society still perceives we can still do and achieve,” Kenneth said before AD interrupted adding, “You can be pro-Black and date white, those two things can co-exist.”

By the time the ‘Love Is Blind’ couple landed in Charlotte, Kenneth’s focus was more on his phone than his wife-to-be. In episode eight, they (mostly Kenneth) decided to end the engagement, and neither one of them appeared in any other episodes.

The second couple to part ways before their walk down the aisle was Laura and Jeramey. To keep it simple, Jeramey appeared to be hung up over the woman he didn’t choose in the pods: Sarah Ann.

One evening, Jeramey didn’t return home from a night out until dawn, and after Laura confronted him, we learned he had spent all night “talking” with Sarah — in her neighborhood, per his location records. Laura wasn’t having it and ended the engagement in episode 11.

When most of the cast linked up for a cookout, Jeramey, and Sarah Ann made no efforts to hide their lil’ rekindled interest. Meanwhile, Laura dragged him for filth and left it at that.

“You are not a man, you’re not man enough for me. You’ve never f**king have been. End of story. Do whatever the f**k you want with whoever the f**k you want. The narcissism is literally nauseating. I wish you the best. Go kick rocks with open-toed f**king shoes,” Laura told him.
