According to CBS News, the award ceremony was hosted at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. Actor Anthony Anderson hosted the event for the first time.

The outlet adds that the television series ‘Succession’ and ‘The Bear’ led the list of winners that evening, taking home six Emmy awards each.

Quinta Brunson kicks off our list of faves who took home the gold or left an iconic Emmy moment. On Monday evening, the 34-year-old won the award for ‘Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series.’

To note, Brunson’s win is for her role in the television series ‘Abbott Elementary.’ Additionally, her Emmy win makes her the first Black woman to win the award since Isabel Stanford won the accolade for her role in ‘The Jeffersons’ in 1981, per Emmys.
