Pras Denies Working With Feds Following Guilty Verdict: ‘Do I Look Like An Informant?’

TMZ recently caught up with the New York-bred artist in Beverly Hills and asked for his take on the verdict.

In turn, he noted that he has “more work to get done.”

“I can’t really talk about the verdict. I got a lot more work to get done. Just got more work to do.”

After being prompted to dish further, he reiterated, “I can’t really get into it. Legally, I can’t. But we gon’ be okay.”

At this point, Pras was asked about the speculation regarding him being an informant, and he swiftly shut it down.

“Look, I was never in the past, present, or future an FBI or CIA informant. Never ever.

He added, “If people wanna check it out, look at the testimonies.”

As Pras continued, he said, “This is not a Tekashi69 situation, respectfully speaking.”

When asked to elaborate, Pras said that, as opposed to 6ix9ine, he would personally “never [become] a CIA or FBI informant.”

“He admitted he was an informant. I was never. I never said I was, I never was, never will be a CIA or FBI informant.”

The artist was then asked if Fugees groupmates Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean are currently supporting him, and he said that “everybody’s supporting [him],” as he “didn’t do anything wrong.”

As The Shade Room previously reported, Pras turned down a plea deal and faced up to two decades in prison over accusations of helping China gain influence within the U.S. government.

On April 26, 2023, Pras was found guilty of 10 counts of international fraud. However, a sentencing date wasn’t set then, and it’s unclear when this will go down.
