As we last reported, reports of federal agents raiding homes connected to Diddy in Los Angeles and Miami are accurate.
According to ABC News, a Homeland Security Investigations spokesperson stated the raid was part of an “ongoing investigation.” Two law enforcement sources told the Associated Press that the raids are connected to sex trafficking allegations rooted in New York. However, those details remain under wraps.
“Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available,” the spokesperson’s statement said, per TMZ.
Law enforcement presence was heavy across the three bi-coastal properties, particularly in Los Angeles. TMZ reports that agents entered the properties with “guns drawn.” In L.A., the raid reportedly included two helicopters swarming the home and the area in addition to the agents on the ground.
On Tuesday, multiple outlets, including ABC News, reported that agents seized electronic devices tied to Diddy from the raided homes in Los Angeles and Miami. However, the amount and types of devices as well as the content on them remain unclear.
At this time, no criminal charges against Diddy are on record. The same goes for his two sons, Justin Combs and Christian Combs.
Authorities detained Diddy’s sons Justin and Christian while raiding the Los Angeles home. But ABC News reports that the detainment was “customary in such circumstances.” Ultimately, federal agents released Justin Combs and Christian Combs without charges.
At this time, P Diddy has not released a statement about the multi-home raids. However, TMZ obtained footage that reportedly shows Sean Combs at the Miami Opa Locka Executive Airport. This sighting reportedly happened a few hours after the raids at about 6 p.m. ET.
The video shows P Diddy pacing outside of a customs office. However, he does not appear detained or in custody, despite eyewitnesses claiming that the feds stopped him and his entourage.
Despite online rumors of Diddy being on the run, the video seems to indicate the opposite.
