Nicki Minaj is painting the world pink — thanks to a major milestone. The Queen is celebrating a huge win in her career after concluding the North American leg of her ‘Pink Friday 2’ world tour.
As previously reported by Angela Yee on ‘Way Up’, the United States leg of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2’ tour sold out 36 shows consecutively. Billboard Boxscores also reported that Nicki’s tour grossed $67 million and sold 439,000 tickets, making it the highest-grossing trek by a female rapper in history.

Nicki Minaj Thanks The Barbs For Her Latest Album’s Success
To celebrate the record-breaking accomplishment. Minaj shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. The ‘Moment 4 Life’ rapper thanked the Barbz for pulling up to every ‘Gag City’ residency, and she credited her team for their hard work and creativity.
“I’d like to thank the incredible ppl who whether on stage or behind the stage, every single night, have been the most incredible, talented & reliable ppl on earth in order to make this show happen for the Barbz in the most over the top, stunning & unique way. We’re just getting started tho. So many ppl have asked if I’d consider adding more US dates,” Nicki wrote.
More Details On Nicki’s ‘Pink Friday 2’ World Tour
Nicki Minaj gagged the world when she kicked off the ‘Pink Friday 2’ tour in Oakland, California, in March. She then went on to take over other arenas in America and Canada and eventually wrapped up in Oklahoma City on May 13.
Despite a phenomenal run, this isn’t the end for Nicki. The Harajuku Barbie will open the gates of ‘Gag City’ to all her European fans. Nicki will return to the stage in Amsterdam on May 23.
Nicki embarked on the worldwide excursion just three months after she released her ‘Pink Friday 2’ album in December 2023. The project is the rapper’s fifth studio album and her first studio album in five years following the release of ‘Queen’ in 2018. Upon its release, ‘Pink Friday 2’ debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, making Nicki the first female rapper in history to have three number-one albums.
