Megan Thee Stallion is feeling really thankful after ‘Hiss’ reached number ONE on the Billboard’s Hot 100. The news trickled in on Monday (Feb. 5), per Chart Data, and Meg first addressed the accomplishment on X (formerly Twitter).
God and her late mother, Holly Thomas, are at the center of Thee Stallion’s gratitude.
“Thank you thank you thank you! Thank you GOD, Thank you MAMA HOLLY, Thank you to EVERYONEEEEE that took the time out of their week to go hard and make this happen! I love you I appreciate you I’m so grateful likeeee #HISS is number 1!!!”

Megan Celebrates Her Billboard #1 With Fans On Live
Hours after news of her Billboard #1 record spread, Megan hopped on Instagram Live to share the moment with the Hotties. She wore a black tee with a print of her ‘Hiss’ cover art and cheesed while trying to figure out what to “say” before settling on “thank you.”
She then explained the process of recording the song and shooting the video after “going through it.” Thee Stallion seemed to be referencing Tory Lanez’s trial and her resurfaced trauma amid online bashing over his conviction and sentencing and her years-long battle with her former label and Carl Crawford.
In her livestream, though, she just called the last few years of her reality “old sh*t.” She clarified that she “went in Megan Pete’s bank account” to pay for ‘Cobra’ and ‘Hiss.’
“Them two videos, my whole studio time for this album that’s bout to come out? All of that came from my pocket. This is the first time since my mama been alive that I really carried the weight of paying for my whole sh*t. So to see how much y’all love ‘Hiss’ and ‘Cobra,’ like I’m really like WOW! We did that, we didn’t have no help!”
Thee Stallion said she “really betted” on herself, her team, and the Hotties — and everyone clearly delivered!
