Kelsey Nicole has finally opened up about what happened to her and Megan Thee Stallion‘s friendship.
Although she took the stand in the trial against Tory Lanez, this is the first time Kelsey has spoken about the incident and the end of their friendship in the media. After teasing it last week, the ‘Danza Project’ released their sit-down this past weekend.

Kelsey confirmed that on the night of the shooting in July 2020, she found out about the “betrayal.” She’s previously suggested that she and Tory were engaged in a romance and Megan was secretly sleeping with him.
“So yeah, it did end up coming up that night that she was betraying me. Of course, it’s like, damn, why it had to come out like this?”
She said she wanted the energy to be them laughing at a man rather than him laughing at them. Kelsey suggested she wasn’t interested in fighting over a dude, but it was about “morals and principles.”
She also added that the betrayal situation wasn’t exactly why they fell out.
“The whole situation of her doing whatever behind my back. That is not why we fell out. It’s so unclear to me why we fell out. I’m the type of person who likes to communicate things. Some people don’t like to communicate. But you would think when you’re close to this person…that you would be able to talk about these things and agree to disagree. You know, people grow, and everybody has a season. So, if it was just the end of our season. I feel like we should have been able to just have that conversation, and it would’ve been fine. We don’t have to end in chaos or can’t move on in peace. I’m the type of person that likes to move on in peace.”
Last December, Megan suggested their fallout happened because the rapper didn’t clear Kelsey’s name in the public eye immediately after the shooting. Thee Stallion explained that at the time, she “didn’t want to talk about this at all.” That’s changed since the 2020 incident, including in December when Megan again pointed the finger at the man convicted in the case: Tory Lanez.
“Kelsey didn’t motherf**king shoot me,” Megan said. “But now you won’t get online and defend yourself, so that just proves my point. Either you took some money or your life is in danger, like why won’t you get online…”

Kelsey also implied that Megan Thee Stallion purposely calls her out on social media because her “true character” isn’t confrontational. One example was the December callout mentioned above. Kelsey said that Megan uses her personality type “to her advantage.”
“She knows my true character. Even though, yes, if it comes down to it, imma handle my business; I don’t go out and seek drama. I’m not a confrontational person, but if it has to be that, then that’s what it is. But I would prefer to not have to go there. These are things that she does know. I’m not that type of person, I’m not fixing to get on the internet.”
