On Thursday, February 22, new information was revealed about Wendy Williams, former host of ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’
As The Shade Room previously reported, Williams has been diagnosed with primary aggressive aphasia. Additionally, the 59-year-old has been diagnosed with dementia.
However, according to Williams’ care team, the 59-year-old has remained in good spirits amid the recent diagnosis. Her sense of humor, which many would remember from her time hosting, appears to be a pillar she carries as she moves forward.
“Wendy is still able to do many things for herself,” her care team states via a press release shared on Thursday, February 22. “Most importantly she maintains her trademark sense of humor and is receiving the care she requires to make sure she is protected and that her needs are addressed.”

In 2008, ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ contestant Omarosa appeared on ‘The Wendy Williams Show, per IMDb. Right out of the gate, the pair’s conversation kicked off on the spicy side.
Omarosa made sure to check Williams allegedly, saying she would “straighten” her out. Unphased, however, Williams held nothing back. Furthermore, the host let Omarosa know, “This isn’t the time for you to look for your moment!” — Oop!
From there, Williams even tried to take things from the top by starting their segment over on a more polite foot.
Safe to say, their conversation didn’t pan out too politely but remains imprinted in the minds of reality TV lovers.
Former Black Eyed Peas member Fergie appeared on Williams’ show in 2017, per IMDb. During her visit, the singer reportedly discussed her album ‘Double Dutchess’ while opening up about her divorce from Josh Duhamel, per PEOPLE.
However, in true Wendy fashion, the host would overshadow her guest, spawning memes that are still poppin’ off to this day.
