Celebrities have started to come forward to show support and love for Cassandra Ventura, also known as Cassie, amid the gruesome video of Diddy assaulting her.
On Friday (May 17), CNN released exclusive footage that shows Diddy, legal name Sean Combs, violently attacking his ex-girlfriend.
According to CNN, the March 5, 2016 video shows the former couple at the “now-closed” InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
In the footage, Cassie can be seen walking down the hallway of the hotel and waiting for an elevator. Seconds later, Diddy runs after Cassie with a towel wrapped around his waist. Once he reaches her, he grabs the back of her neck and slams her down onto the ground. While Ventura is on the ground, the media mogul kicks her multiple times and starts to gather her belongings. Then, he starts to drag her by her sweatshirt back to their hotel room.
A separate clip shows Cassie stepping back out to the hallway and attempting to make a phone call. Diddy comes in contact with her again and pushes her into a corner. Lastly, a snippet sees Diddy sitting at a table and eventually throwing an object in Ventura’s direction.
TRIGGER WARNING: The footage below contains sensitive material.
Diddy and Cassie have not publicly reacted to her resurfaced trauma at his hands. However, the now-viral clip is causing celebrities to slowly show their support for the ‘Official Girl’ singer.
Several stars have stepped forward to defend Cassie and stand against domestic violence. Cedric The Entertainer, Erica Campbell, Judge Greg Mathis and Bobby Shmurda are just a few of the names that have started to speak out on social media.
Other famous faces are even reaching out to the ‘Long Way 2 Go’ singer with an apology after doubting the claims she made in her lawsuit against Diddy. Most notable in that category, so far, has been Slim Thug.
