Beyoncé gripped social media when she debuted her natural hair on Monday (April 22) using her Cécred products.
However, over the years, Bey has BEEN keeping her foot on our necks when it comes to styling her blonde tresses. But, just in case you forgot, keep scrolling for a lil’ reminder!
As mentioned, Beyoncé shared a video of her beauty team caring for her hair using her line Cécred. In the clip, she walks us through getting her hair washed, blowdried, and flat-ironed while describing the different products aiding the process.
In the end, Bey gagged her 319 million followers with how long, full, and healthy her natural hair is. Wigs and braids aside, Beyoncé made it clear that she and “bald-headed” don’t belong in the same sentence!
“The stigma and misconception is that people that wear wigs don’t have long and healthy hair — that some bulls**t,” Beyoncé said in the video.
The video serves as a more personalized marketing approach for Cécred. When she first launched the hair care line in Feb., there were overwhelming critiques of its alignment with her brand.
Throughout her career, there haven’t been many clear instances of her rocking her natural hair. Yet, here she was, selling hair care products at what some would consider a premium price! Most products start at $30 and surpass $50.
But Beyoncé has been true, not new to the hair game. Cécred has been bubbling within her since her days “sweeping hair in” Ms. Tina Lawson’s salon, hunny! On the brand’s website, Bey revealed it’s “been [her] lifelong dream to create these hair products and bring some of [her] mother’s teachings to life.”
