Lionel Richie says that sex with hime no longer lasts “all night long,” and at his age he’s got it “down to a fierce 15 minutes.”
The 73-year-old singer and American Idol judge revealed the revelation to fellow judges Katy Perry and Luke Bryan during Tuesday’s episode of The View.
He says that when he wrote the hit 1983 single “All Night Long” – which turns 40 this year – “it was truly all night long.
“When I wrote ‘All Night Long,’ it was truly all night long,” Richie joked, causing the crowd to applause. “Now my ‘all night long’ is down to a fierce 15 minutes.”
He continued: “But, don’t worry, we’ll talk about that later.”
“Fifteen minutes? That’s long, bud,” Perry, 38, told the former Commodores singer “And don’t you forget that, alright?” Richie replied.
Meanwhile, Katy Perry interjected: “As long as it’s not four times a night, seven days a week.”
Bryan didn’t appear to share the “California Gurls” singer, and looked shocked at Richie’s confession.
And while he may not be performing “all night long” anymore, his longtime girlfriend Lisa Parigi seems satisfied.
Parigi, is 40 years his junior, is believed to have started dating Richie back in 2014, when the two were introduced at a dinner party.
“I’m a man who’s been through the ups and the downs, the ins and the outs of love,” Richie told People in 2019 when asked about Parigi.
He added: “She’s extremely beautiful, but most importantly she’s smart and helps me deal with my crazy world.”
Richie had previously been married to Brenda Harvey-Richie – his high school sweetheart – who he wed in 1975.
The former couple eventually adopted daughter Nicole Richie before parting ways in 1993.
He then married Diane Alexander in 1995 before divorcing in 2004. The pair are parents to Sofia Richie and Miles Richie.
