#Roommates, Lil Yachty is officially back with some new music and he enlisted two of hip hop’s most in demand artists to hop on his new track. Yachty just dropped the video for his new single “Oprah’s Bank Account,” featuring both Drake and DaBaby.
Lil Yachty has been keeping a relatively low profile since the release of his 2018 album, “Nuthin’ 2 Prove”—however, that is all set to change thanks to the release of his new song that is surely making his fans happy after a two-year wait.
To usher in his return, Lil Yachty dropped “Oprah’s Bank Account” with Drake and DaBaby, including the video featuring Yachty actually playing Oprah himself. In the video, he channels Oprah’s sit-down interviews and interviews Drake and DaBaby on each of their verses. Lil Yachty, who has partnered with LG as a part of their culture awareness campaign, uses the new LG V60 ThinQ with Dual Screen throughout the video.
Speaking about how the collaboration between the three artists came about, he had this to say:
“It’s so crazy because I originally wanted to put Lizzo on it. I sent it to her, and I don’t want to say she didn’t like it, because she never got back to me on it, which was cool. I understand people are busy.”
He also discussed what fans can look forward to on the new album:
“I think this whole album, ‘Lil Boat 3’, is just fun. My album’s done. My album is coming very soon. I haven’t spoken on it yet, but it’s coming. It’s ending the trilogy to my Lil Boat series.”
As of right now, Lil Yachty’s new album doesn’t have a set release date, but hopefully it will drop this year.
