Lil Wayne Surpasses Elvis Presley To Have Second-Most Billboard Top 40 Hits!

Lil’ Wayne’s “Funeral” album is having a pretty good week. The New Orleans native has just surpassed Elvis Presley on the Billboard charts with his latest release.

With 82 Billboard Top 40 Hot 100 Hits, he has officially taken the number 2 spot, breaking Presley’s record. The song to make this happen is ‘I Do It’ featuring Big Sean and Lil Baby.

This comes days after his 13th album landed #1 on the Billboard 200 Chart and is his fifth album to do so.

According to Billboard, “Funeral is the fifth leader for Lil Wayne, and it enters with 139,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Feb. 6th, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.“

This latest release follows Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter V’ album that was released in 2018. This is also his 12th top 10 album to make the charts. He first hit the Billboard 200 just over 20 years ago, on the list dated Nov. 20, 1999, when Tha Block Is Hot debuted and peaked at No. 3, also according to Billboard.

As previously reported, he also has 20 more albums waiting to be released.

“That’s always beautiful to look back at the finished product and what we came out with, what we ended up with,” the 37-year-old rapper stated. He continued, “And also, the results of the finished product is always rewarding, as well. I have beautiful fans. But my fans all, they also know that once it’s put out, they already know I’m moving on. They already know I got 20 more albums already in my back pocket.”

If there was ever a question before, I think definitely affirms that he is indeed a legend!
