Lil Scrappy tells Carlos King that he realized ex-girlfriend Erica Dixon was FIONE after season one of ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ wrapped.
Before stepping into the limelight, Dixon gave “girl next door,” per the Atlanta rapper. He spilled on the beauty of his eldest daughter’s mother during a multi-part sit-down with the television producer.
Before talking about Erica, Scrap admitted halfway through the hour-long interview that he was initially against starring in the show. Now, he thinks it was the “best thing.”
“That’s the best thing God ever told me to do after rap,” Scrappy said. “After the meeting I had with Mona, I went back to [Erica Dixon] and told her you think this sh*t, you think we need to do this sh*t?” He added, “But Erica was like a real hardworking woman…she had a 9-5.”
Carlos and Scrappy recalled Dixon when she allegedly worked as a medical decoder. At the 37:10 interview mark, he turns to the camera, seemingly sending Erica a message saying, “Don’t even get mad,” before speaking on her style switch-up.
“She was not like the flashy girl like you see her now. She was not like that. She was really like, girl next door, fine beautiful, country,” Scrappy said, as Carlos King agreed with the “girl next door” comment.
King, the producer, also recalled Scrappy approaching him about Erica’s “different fine” after the first season aired. Laughing, Scrappy agreed, saying, “Shawty got a different type of fine on her.” The rapper also said that he remembered the producers, including King, asking him what Erica Dixon needed before filming. Scrappy said he replied, “forreal forreal, my baby mama need a whole makeover.”
“And they did that sh*t. I’m talking ’bout, they picked out her clothes, did her hair, did her makeup, and she didn’t even need makeup. She one of them woman that didn’t even need no makeup. Once they did that she went from Erica to AYE-REE-KA, you feel me.”
Scrappy joked that Erica wasn’t “talk to [him] the same no more,” instead telling him to “hit [her] manager.”
When Carlos asked if Diamond was Scrappy’s first love, the rapper shot it down, saying that Dixon was. However, he said Diamond taught him “what love was” and later “what pain was,” particularly after she allegedly cheated on him with Soulja Boy in 2011.
Last month, social media blew up with reactions and rekindled romance rumors after Diamond posted a video of Scrappy making her breakfast.
Before then, Lil Scrappy and Diamond walked the BET Awards carpet in June.
Neither has confirmed a relationship. However, Scrapp seemingly hinted that they’re still chatty because he told Carlos he reminds her of the heartbreak she put him through by cheating with Soulja Boy.
“I tell her all the time, I remember that sh*t cuz, don’t think I forgot about that sh*t. I remember what you did to me. But then she like to come back and say well n***a you was a whole h*e out here.”
Later in the interview, he admitted that Erica Dixon and Bambi got the “worst” of him, the “young him.”
