Lil Rel is currently living out the saying, “feeling good and looking better.” The comedian recently opened up about this season of his life and his transformations over the last five years, including his weight loss!
Additionally, he addressed whether he tapped into the Ozempic-craze to make his body goals come through.
His comments came after he stepped out for a Sony Pictures event on July 21 in Culver City, California. Rel rocked a purple Burberry shirt with dark-colored pants and maroon-colored boots. The comedian also wore his signature glasses and a couple of icy jewelry pieces to complement his fit.

After seeing his red carpet photos, Lil Rel took to Instagram with a reflective message about his growth. In addition to his physical glow-up, the comedian highlighted his mental, emotional, and professional changes. He opened up by saying his post was to show self-appreciation.
“I’ve worked really hard on myself the last 5 years physically, mentally, spiritually, professionally, and personally. I’m so proud of myself. This is the best I’ve ever felt and looked in my whole life,” he shared.
To be clear, his weight loss, in particular, has been evident over the years. But this is one of the first times Lil Rel has openly commented on his transformations and what led him to the inner and outer state he’s in today.
“Honestly. To stop drinking, eating better, working out almost every single day, writing, building a closer relationship with God, therapy and honestly accountability has taken my life to the next level of pure happiness,” the comedian added.
Additionally, Rel encouraged others to avoid the “shortcut” and opt for really putting in “the work” to elevate themselves! “Let me be an example of truly putting the work in,” he said before promoting his new upcoming film ‘Harold And The Purple Crayon.’

Two days after flexing his transformations, Lil Rel returned to Instagram to clarify that his weight loss is all-natural! He denied claims that he might’ve had a little help from Ozempic, a Type 2 diabetes medicine popularized for its side effect of rapid weight loss.
“I’m on that Godzempic, Happyzempic, Hardworkzempic, PurposeZempic, and just plan on Truthzempic. I’m grateful and glad I said yes to God assignment on my life and friends still here and gone that kept it 100 with me…,” he wrote in his caption.
