Lil Nax X is just trying to Barb in peace. After paying homage to Nicki Minaj, a rapper he has had an interesting relationship with to say the least, Lil Nas X received both praise and shade for his Halloween costume. One of the people who had something to say was Dave East.
For some reason, Dave has had it out for Lil Nas X, tracking back to Lil Nas’ beginnings. Dave can be considered more of a lyrical rapper when compared to Nas, but it was unclear why Dave gave his unsolicited opinion back in April 2019, when he called Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” “super wack.”
Lil Nas X never seems to worry too much about criticism and often even trolls people who have something to say.
Fast forward to Halloween, and Dave East posted Lil Nas X’s Nicki Minaj costume in his story with the message: “And y’all was mad at me about this n***a.”
Dave also said, “bati mon…BUN UP!!!!” which in Jamaican patois is a slur often used to refer to a gay man.
Lil Nas X addressed Dave for once again, giving his unsolicited opinion and called him out for being homophobic in true Lil Nas trolling style.
“It’s ‘batty man’ n****s can’t even be homophobic the proper way smh butchering the hell out of the patois,” Lil Nas X quote tweeted another tweet that called out Dave East, accusing him of being obsessed with the LGBTQ community.
