Lil Kim Opens Up About Rich Homie Quan’s Vh1 Hip Hop Honors Performance

It’s been almost a week now since Rich Hommie Quan’s memorable performance at the Vh1 Hip Hop Honors… People still can’t seem to come to grips about how he forgot the lyrics to a popular #Biggie song. After receiving donkey of the day from Charlemagne, it’s safe to say Rich Homie Quan probably will be laying low for awhile until this calms down. Now I’m sure everyone has been wondering how Rich Homie Quan even ended up on the stage, and Lil Kim spilled all the tea!

According to Complex, Lill Kim was doing an interview with Sway when she broke it all down. Originally, Lil Kim wasn’t even going to perform “Get Money,” she was going to just sing her songs and have two very well known artists perform with her. Unfortunately for Lil Kim they had to cancel and she decided to add “Get Money” to the set.

Now before Rich Homie Quan ever got the call, VH1 hit up Rick Ross, Nas, Future, Drake & Fetty Wap to take on Biggie’s part but they all had prior obligations, and so it went to Rich Homie Quan, who was excited to honor Lil Kim.

“He’s a friend of mine, and I’ve known him for a little while,” she says. “He’s always good to me…and he didn’t question anything. He just jumped on that plane. And the whole thing was he was coming to fuck with Lil’ Kim. He was coming to support Lil’ Kim. He did not know at that time that he was going to be performing ‘Get Money.’ He didn’t know that.”

Kim did admit that she heard Rich Homie Quan in rehearsals’ and he did fine.

“He was very nervous,” she continues. “He’s such a good person. He was like, ‘It’s an honor that y’all would even put me in this position to fill such big shoes.’”

We all mess up and if anything this helped Rich Homie Quants career!
