Lil Durk is not here for any false narratives! Not one to address much, the artist took time to clarify that he is not engaging in any shady business towards Kanye West. Both Durk and Ye were scheduled to drop their new projects on January 22, 2022. Given their Chicago roots, the announcements created plenty of internet buzz. But at the last minute, Durk pushed his album and rumors of a secret feature from Pete Davidson started floating around.
One tweet written by user Thomas Hewitt said, “Lil Durk has Pete Davidson featured on his album. Peak troll.”
While Lil Durk didn’t address this particular tweet, he addressed all talks expressing the same sentiments.
“This a lie I don’t even play like that,” Lil Durk wrote on his Instagram Story.
As you may already know, Ye hasn’t taken too kindly to Pete on social media. From calls to shout chants at the actor, memes and nicknaming him Skete, Kanye has let the jokes and serious posts about Pete fly.
Recently, he outlined his “conditions” in order for Kim to legally identify as single. Ye is primarily focused on protecting their assets through the split. For example, if either Kim or Ye pass away, Kanye wants a policy in place to make sure any money owed between them is repaid.
Along with denying the Pete feature claims, Lil Durk revealed plans for music beyond his upcoming album ‘7220.’ Apparently, Ye had no hard feelings about the initial, same drop date because he extended an opportunity to Durk.
“…Plus Ye want to do a album together,” Durk wrote.
The rapper didn’t go into specifics about this potential collaboration. For now, there’s no date, no album length or features. Instead, a few days ago, Durk dropped a new visual to a new album song Ahhh Haaa, which sparked some exchanges between him and NBA YoungBoy.
