Whew! Lil Baby and Jayda Cheaves might’ve recently faced a lil’ relationship roadblock. The pair sparked talks of a rekindled relationship in late January after the artist joined Jayda and friends in Cabo San Lucas. Then, the innanet assumed Baby was behind an extravagant Valentine’s Day surprise. But, on Friday, there seemed to be less love in some subliminals thrown on Instagram. While neither Jayda or Baby used names in their posts, their words seemed closely related to each other.
Jayda first planted the shade trees on her Instagram Story. She began with a clapping GIF and the words, “I’m finally standing up” before speaking on endings.
“Everything comes to an end. Never force it,” Jayda wrote. “Be happy.”
After The Shade Room posted Jayda’s messages, she hopped in the comment section with an additional reassurance.
“I’m fr y’all lmfao we ain’t gon talk about it,” Jayda wrote. “Y’all will see.”
And, chile, Jayda was busy with the Insta fingers! Within the same time frame, she shared a few more messages to her Instagram Story. She posted an ‘Empire’ clip of Cookie Lyons crying and speaking to Lucious saying, “I gotta put me first.” She wrote, “I’m willing to X anybody out for my happiness and peace.”
In a separate story post, Jayda clarified why she was dropping off the subs about her private life.
“I post my own [coffee emoticon] so I can clown myself before I get clowned. Cuz shiddddd it’s cold out here,” Jayda wrote along with crying emojis. “Ion know how this [poop emoticon] gon go.”
She ended that post with the message: “have a beautiful day everyone.”
It didn’t take long for Lil Baby to seemingly respond to Jayda. He also took to Instagram Story to throw his own words. He posted a video of D.C. Young Fly doing some footwork/dancing on a basketball court.
In white text, Baby wrote,”when a mf think they can play wit me.”
Within minutes, Jayda seemingly responded directly to Baby’s post.
“Think they can play with you? LMFAO you played with me for 6 years straight,” Jayda said, referring to past issues. “I text a ni**a back now your chest hurt. Bye.”
Shortly after posting, Jayda deleted her latest response. She has also deleted her post about clowning herself. Her two initial posts and Lil Baby’s one post were still live on their verified pages at the time of publishing.
The Shade Room reached out to Jayda Cheaves for comment, but she has declined to give a statement. However, folks on the innanet are already cuttin’ up about what seems to be another off for the on-and-off relationship:
