LightSkinKeisha is a married muva! The rapper welcomed her son with Coca Vango last month. And while fans expected that life event, they’re likely surprised by her secret decision to jump the broom!
According to PEOPLE, Keisha and Coca welcomed their baby boy Amin on Jan. 14 at 12:08 p.m. The infant weighed seven pounds, eight ounces after what Keisha called a smooth pregnancy.
“We are incredibly obsessed with our son; he’s everything we prayed for,” Keshia explained before, adding. “My pregnancy went smoothly, thanks to my husband’s support for an easy, stress-free experience. It went by quickly, and now he’s here, live and direct.”
As for whether she’s ready for another child, Kiesha said having Amin has made her think she can. She described the experience of welcoming her son as “crazy.”
“Words can’t describe it, but seeing him and doing skin-to-skin made me think I could do it again, maybe two more times. He’s so cute, and we’re just so in love with him.”
As for life after the birth, the rapper says the “transition into family life” hasn’t disrupted their usual flow.
“The transition into family life has been smooth because we were already like family. Being together for so long, having a child was the cherry on top. I sometimes get emotional looking at him, crying tears of joy as he’s everything I prayed for. I feel truly blessed to have this little person in my life now.”
Additionally, Coca told PEOPLE they’re “fortunate” enough to “hire help to balance” their personal and professional lives.
“This relationship is perfect despite past challenges, emphasizing the importance of finding the right person and setting boundaries for a successful family life,” Vango said.
With Amin, Keisha became a first-time parent, but Vango was already a father to a preteen daughter named Melia.
Last September, after announcing their pregnancy, Keisha engaged in an online back-and-forth with the child’s mother, Lay. Things popped off when Melia’s mother accused Vango of being an absent father. Keisha shot back, alleging the former girlfriend was “obsessed” with her and Coca’s relationship. Lay denied the allegation and went IN with a few claims of her own.
As mentioned, the most shocking news from her PEOPLE exclusive is likely her secret marriage. The rapper and Vango got engaged in Jan. 2022, per BET, and wed shortly before Amin’s birth. Details of their big day and where it took place were not shared.
“After six years together, we’ve built not only a friendship and a solid relationship but also our little family. We’re soulmates, so marrying my best friend felt right,” LightSkinKeisha said.
Balance, Coca said, has been a critical part of their relationship’s success thus far.
“Living between Los Angeles and Atlanta is hectic for us due to business commitments in both places. I don’t want to go anywhere without Kiesha, so finding balance is crucial. Settling down sometimes feels slow, but seeing my wife make our space home for me and our newborn son makes it all worth it.”
Congrats to LightSkinKeisha & Coca on their new marriage and parenthood era!
