It looks like everything is good between Lee Daniels and Damon Dash after the two clashed earlier this year.
According to TMZ, Lee Daniels kept his promise and made things right with Damon Dash as they reached a settlement in their lawsuit over a $2 million movie investment.
According to the documents obtained by the site, both Daniels and Dash agreed to drop the matter and pay for their own individual lawyer fees. The documents didn’t reveal any financial details, but Dash told the site, “I’m good. Just happy 2 people from the culture could work things out.”
Earlier this year a clip of Dash confronting Daniels about the matter went viral. He let everyone know that he loaned the director $2 million, and he never received the money back. He also revealed that he was left out of a movie producer credit. Dash then followed up by filing a $5 million lawsuit.
As we previously reported, Daniels publicly spoke about the matter and credited Dash’s support for being the reason why he was able to go on and make successful projects like “Precious,” “The Butler” and “Empire.”
We’re glad to see both men were able to work out their differences.
